Week 22: Calm yourself in the storm

Hey family!

Yes I did get the package. It was quite awesome and very well needed. I did share the candy and the ties with my companion. And I really appreciate the picture dad drew of swiper.  I had forgot about it but it really made me smile.

Things have been going good here in Bowling Green. I learned this week that I have a temper. We got in a bible bash with this dude and I haven't been that fired up in a long time, I'm going to have to watch my self because I have zero tolerance for bible bashers. Me and my comp just stood up and walked out of this dude house. We told him that we were leaving because he was filled with the spirit of contention. He tried to make us stay so he could continue yelling at us. Besides that it was a good week tho.

The days just seem to be melting together. It's crazy that we get to skype again in a month. Time is just flying. We have one investigator on date for baptism and I'm really hopeful that she will get baptised. She just really wants to follow Christ and become closer to him and God. It's just hard to get in contact with her is all.

This week really flew by so I didn't take any pictures but I defiantly should have. That's okay tho. Elder Taylor called me on Friday night and we talked for a while. I really miss that guy he's such a baller.

Anyhow things seem like they are going well at home. I think I'll be here in Bowling Green for a while but we will see. I love you guys and miss you lots. Have a good week!

Week 21: International Church

Hey family,

This week was pretty good, we had general conference, and it was crazy. The changes in the church are pretty crazy, but it all just re affirms to me that we have a prophet of god on the earth. and it tells me that the lord is continuing to hasten his work.

Nothing to crazy happened this week. We taught a family from the Congo. they speak French Swahili and Congolese. Its kinda hard sometimes to sit through these lessons with our translators doing a lot of the work. I can keep up with French a little bit. but Swahili is way over my head. Im learning how to say the basic phrases in each of them. The refugee population here is huge. Its pretty rare that I meet just a English speaking American.

It sounds like everything is going good with Kenai and with grandma. I hope she is doing well and i hope the family is doing well also. Ethan is looking skinny as ever. We bike so much here. I am burning through my tires and tell dad when I go to the corvette museum i will take pictures.

It stormed pretty hard yesterday and we hard tornado warnings but it was nothing serious.

Thats my report. Love you all.
